Guiding The Wine Neophyte & Connoisseurs
Your Source for Enhancing the Total Wine Experience

Hello All,
While the college students celebrate spring break by heading to warmer climates to guzzle beer and shed their clothes, we here at the "Snob Residence" decided to have our own celebration... not nearly as scantily clad!

About a dozen of us spent a couple of hours tasting 11 Sauvignon Blancs (and blends) from around the world in an attempt to find one we "collectively thought was best.  This is indeed a difficult task for several reasons including the fact that wine is a personal-taste and various styles of Sauvignon Blanc map to a variety of different foods, while others are just delightful all by themselves!

Putting the explanations aside, let's delve lightly into the wines....
Included in the tasting in no special order:

Spring Blanc Report Wine Snob Rating scale:
Yucky - Self Explanatory!
Fair- Acceptable but would not buy again!
Good - Decent wine or "not bad for the price!"
Very Good - Delicious!
Yummy - A rare score and relatively self explanatory
Wicked Yummy - A near sex experience out of a bottle

Interestingly enough, 8 of the 11 wines were enjoyed by the majority of the group and in-fact, there was some variance among the tasters as to which was their personal favorite.  In summarizing the results therefore, we used both the numerical value from each of the tasters and the order in which they were ranked to arrive at the collective results.  I won't bore you an further, enjoy the attached results and please feel free to write me regarding any questions!
Cheers,
Steve

The Wine Snob name is meant to be sarcastic. It represents a spoof on the overly aloof! The goal is to bring the joy of wine to those who choose not to get caught up in stuffy pretentiousness.
